It would depend on the guy who's going to be wearing the style...now, I don't normally like long hair on a guy, but my SIL has long hair but it looks good on him--I have seen pictures of him with short styles and they don't fit him, the long hair suits him...some guys look good in a crew cut, some don't...it's so nice these days that a lot of salons have those computer programs where they take your picture and can show you how all the styles, cuts, and colors would look good on you BEFORE you go to all the trouble and money and THEN find out you don't like it or it doesn't look good on you...

Allure, Glamor, they have magizines just deadicated to hair and finding the perfect style in big stores like walmart and target. I would just reley on magizines bescause they need diffrent things every momth so you wont get the spesific infomation you are looking for I recomend going to the library where you can check out old issues, but I think you would be better of getting a book on the subjet you want. I know that Allure and Glamor both publish books So you could get the tips you need and the magizine feel you want so you don't have to read lots of small counfusicg text. Also, with 2 combs or barrettes you can pull each side of your hair back and up over your ear. It still looks like it's down but you get it away from your face. I do this to keep my hair out of my eyes and mouth when golfing or playing sports. I don'tlook good with ALL my hair pulled back so the half up half down it GREAT. Also, a few years ago those little clips were cute for pulling your hair back in little clumps. You can make a design with the pulling of each clump or alternate colors of teh clips for a new neat look.

to do this you need to

1. wash your hair with shampoo do not condition as the hairstyle will fall out too quickly



2. towel dry you hair and brush it through, you do not need to bother about getting every knot brushed out



3. put some volumising mouse into your hair (can be by any brand) then roughly dry your hair.

this looks nice and it take me about 5-10 mins as you only need to curl parts of your hair to get the desiered effect

lol. that surprises me. i'm about your age and i wish i could stay it for longer! i mean like right now is the perfect time when we still have gorgeous skin (no wrinkles), gorgeous hair (no thinning or wiry split ends), and tons of resilience. but i've heard that a bit of eye liner and curling your hair will make you look older.
You should wait at least six weeks after u get your perm to color your hair and in order to keep it from breaking you need to get it done at least every two weeks

like sleek and shiny. Search the web for at home recipes for silky sleek hair! Or try to make hair look like a hollister girl's hair model. At night wear it in braids and then in the morning take it out and break curls apart tahn hair spray. To switch it up make it big and voluomious instead of just little curls!

i have the same problem. my hair is also like yours. brown, long, boring. but im the opposite. i always keep my hair up. i hate it down. maybe you can try something new that you dont ever really do to your hair. like me, i would put it down and pin back some strands of hair in the front (the style thats really 'in'). but since you already curl it or leave it down, but it in a ponytail, put it in a bun, put in in a side braid, or find a new style, like i said, that you wouldnt really ever do.

I have very thick curly hair and a round face, what are some good hair styles for that?

I want a new hairstyle for school, and like i said i have long thick curly hair and a round face. i want something i could still put my hair in a ponytail, and i'd like some longer bangs,(maybe in the diagonal cut across the face) but i'm not sure how it would look. any ideas will be appreciated!I have very thick curly hair and a round face, what are some good hair styles for that?
Side/Diagonal cut bang would suit your face shape (make it look longer). Depending on how curly your year. I usually put my hair in a pony day and just straighten my fringe with the blow/dryer or straightner.





You could also try putting your hair in a medium to high pony tail when wet. Grab small sections as losely twit and pin (usually about four or five sections). This will make a messing but and with a staight diagonal fringe will look hot!

I understand; me too. I wear a ponytail like 3/4 days a week.



You could French braid it.

You could like dry it straight and put it in a ponytail with a ribbon or something sparkly, so it isn't so plain.

You can do a bun.

Put a bump/poof in your bangs. If you don't have bangs you can put them in the front of you hair if you don't have bangs.

Put it halfway up.

Get some cool headbands %26amp; stuff to wear.



So these are just some ideas; hope they help.
Go to Target or CVS. They have tons of accessories. You can pick up lots of headbands (skinny ones, wide ones), ponytails with beads/jewels on them, hair clips, barrettes. This way even if you do just put your hair back or in a ponytail it will always look different and accessorized.
EXPERIMENT AT HOME WITH BOBBY PINS. OH! what I see happening in my school now is that girls make a little braid in the front of their hair and pull it back and make a pony tail so that it stand out. IT LOOKS SOOOO CUTE :) or wear id down and pull ur bangs back wit bobby pins :)

I think there are some shampoos out there designed for poofy hair. They might help to tame it a bit and smooth it out. Try looking a the Hairapy line of shampoos, I'm pretty sure they have one for making your hair shiny, and probably for flattening it out a bit. Just be careful that you don't use too much stuff on your hair or mess with it too much because it can end up looking greasy and worse than before. Also try looking at a flat iron. This really smooths out your hair, although you have to buy some spray to apply to your hair before you use it so you don't fry your hair.How can we make our hair flat without using any CHEMICALS OR ANY HAIR STYLES,etc?
Get a vent brush and a blowdryer. Slowly brush your hair and keep the dryer behind the brush, angled down slightly. It takes longer to dry but it's as flat as you're gonna get it.

I do wonder sometimes what happened to originality and individuality.I went through a phase during my teenage years when i was obsessed with straightening my hair(because everyone else was doing it)its usually due to a lack of confidence that most youngsters go through,but don't worry,often it doesn't last.I've learnt to appreciate myself-curls and pale skin included-and funnily enough,others have learnt to appreciate me too!

3. blow wave it and stick a hairband in or clips.


4. get random pieces of hair and clip them with bobby pins, then straighten the rest!

You can always try a pompadour, it's a cute way of mixing up your every day appearance



Step 1: At about 1 inch away from the top of your forehead, take your brush and brush back.

Step 2: Gather some of the hair you smoothed back (about 2 inches across), and brush that section of hair to make it smooth.

Step 3: Twist the end of the piece of hair you have in your hands, then push the hair forward a little and clip into place.



You can try a headband style braid?



Step 1: Begin with tangle-free clean hair. If you have straight or wavy hair this will work best with dry hair. If you have curly hair that cannot be brushed when it is dry, try braiding your hair wet. However be very gentle as the hair has a tendency to ';snap'; more easily when it is wet.

Step 2: Part your hair to either side. You can part it down the middle and do a French braid on both sides, but to create a headband effect you should really part it on the side.

Step 3: Create a part for the hair you want to be in the headband, using a comb, pencil, pointy end of a makeup brush, fingernail, or something similar. Begin two to three inches back on the part, and make sure to have a nice rectangular section of hair. You are going to be braiding the larger section of hair at least (versus the other side of your part).



* If you're going to put your hair up into a bun or pony tail, end about two inches above your ear and then move forward to create a nice right corner.

* If you're going to wear your hair down, end at your ear.



Step 4: Put the hair that will not be braided (the majority of it) into a pony tail or clip. Just make sure it wont get in the way as you are braiding. Use a loose pony tail if you are going to wear your hair down so that you don't create a lump/crease.

Step 5: Begin French braiding. Starting at the part section off a small rectangular piece and separate it into three pieces. Cross the rightmost over the center. Then add some hair to what used to be the rightmost strand (now center) from the right side. Cross the leftmost over the center. Then add some hair to what used to be the leftmost strand (now center) from the left side.

Step 6: Continue French braiding until you've used all the loose hair in the braid. Once you're done with that braid the rest of the hair with a normal braid and secure it at the end with an elastic.

Step 7: Finish it up. At this point you can also choose to braid the hair on the other side of your part. Do the following depending on your hair style that day:



* Bun: Gather your hair into a ponytail, including the braid(s). If the braid becomes bumpy when you put it up, try twisting or bobby pinning it. Once you have secured your ponytail with an elastic, twist the tail and wrap it around the base of the ponytail. Then pin or use another elastic to hold the bun place. Apply hairspray or gel as desired and you're done!

* Down: For a quick fix just pin the braid(s) back from your face with a bobby pin or clip. To make it quite literally a headband bring the ends of the braid behind your head and under your hair. Then tie them together with an elastic.

You may want to tryputting it in thick braids around your head when it is wet and letting them dry overnight so when you wake up in the morning to take them out you have smooth thick curls. Also i like to take mine in sections with bobby pins and twist it then pin it up. Goodluck.

Pony tail or pig tails are best. Don't put too much into her physical get up. Do the world a favor and teach your daughter integrity and how to be polite. Let her develop a good self-image by not fussing with the physical and letting her know that she is wonderful, just the way she is.
I believe that the best hair product for a one year old is chocolate, followed by lollipop goo, and then mashed poatoes. She's only a baby, she's probably cute enough without anything being done to her hair.
Just be careful that you don't give her a head ache with the tension on a tight hair style. Her head could get sore from a part being there for too long of a time. I'm sure she is darling no matter what. She'll be busy learing ABC's and manners so the hair may be the last thing that will get her through life.

But sometimes to save alot of time for myself, when I blowdry it I scrunch it at the same time. It looks nice..


Also the messy look is quite nice- after you shower just blowdry your hair, dont brush it.. but put serum or something on afterwards so your hair doesnt look dry.

I find the web site 'thehairstyler.com' as a very good web site. On this site, you download a picture of yourself close-up and then you get to try different styles on yourself, so you will know exactly what you will look like on your wedding day. I always do my hair pretty much the same: ponytail, down, or a messy bun. I want to do something different with my hair, but I'm not really that creative. Does anyone have any ideas?What are some pretty hair styles?
do a half ponytail...with bangs at the side..and take the two sides and pin them two the side with a boby pin .....orcurl or straighten your hair either oneWhat are some pretty hair styles?
here are a few,


1.get the top,front section of you're hair(both side's) and put just that hair in a ponytail


2.low pigtails.


3.braide the top front section's of you're hair and then put the braide's around you're head. and pin then to keep in place.


or you can cheek out a book at the library.
you could try making it curly and a ponytail to the side


you could try braiding it


you could try dividing your hair in two and tye the first part like in a ponytail and leave the back down.

I am a male and 15 years old in a small city of indiana so there is no goth hair sloan and i am looking for some inspirations for a hair style. I am into death rock so almost anything goth like is acceptable.What are good male goth hair styles?
Check out the style that Voltaire has (The Goth singer, NOT the philosopher). It's modern, but still dark and not that hard to maintain. For more of a death rock look, you could grow your hair out so that it's long enough to tease it. And of course, there's always the old standby of doing your hair like Robert Smith. it depends on your personal taste in the goth style. if you have black hair id recomend either devilocks or one of marilyn mansons hair styles. me personaly, i just have my natural har. i dont do anything to it. its down to my shoulders, culy and dark brown (a lot of girls say theyd die for my curls and ive been told i have a really nice natural color :D LOL) im gona get something done to it soon though. keep in mind, youre goth so you can do whatever to your hair that you want to. go all out on it or do something subtle like short and blonde with it spiked all over with maybe a little black or something (this looks best with (goth) tighter bondage jeans (not the ';naughty'; kind, the goth kind) with boots.)





ps. to the ';therapist'; there is nothing wrong with goth. we have better lifestyles than most other ';normal'; people. we are people too, we just have different fashions. keep your opinions to yourself if you dont like us. we are much more open minded and pasive than most people. for example, im christian and goth and im one of the most popular guys at my school and im friends with almost everybody. im accepted by most but there are two kids who say i cant be christian cuz im goth but thats about the most disrespect i get. so please, dont insult us.

well i think our hair is pretty much the same. (:





most days i straighten my hair so here are some ideas for straight hair;





two low plaits -finish the plait about halfway through the section of hair you're plaiting so it has a long end.





two low pigtails -personally to pull this off i think you need to have a bubbly personality?!





high side ponytail; fringe out.





low side ponytail; fringe can be pinned to the side or out, this hairstyle looks good with curly or wavy hair too.





hair down with bangs in a quiff; or you can just pin the fringe to the side if you don't like the look of a quiff. works well with curly, straight or wavy hair.





hair pulled up into a plain ponytail; i think ponytails only look good if your hair spikes out in the ponytail else it looks plain. leave fringe out.





side messy bun; this can be high or it can be placed low under the ear. leave your fringe out, this looks best with wavy or curly hair, but works with straight too.





messy bun; in the same position you'd put a normal ponytail. pin your bangs to the side. put in lots of cute hair clips or a ribbon.





hair down; make sure it's straight and you have a fringe. you could wear one of those hippy headbands that go around your head.

This one is easy to do. Shampoo and condition your hair. Towel dry. Apply a mousse or other styling product lightly to your damp hair to give it some texture.. well i have super long hair so im not the best but i have lots of friends with short hair... I'd say you should curl it. It doesnt take very long and it usually turns out really cute. If you dont like that idea go to google and type in hairstyles. You should get A whole bunch of places to go for ideas... One specific idea i have is to poof it in front... then curl the sides. If you want, take two strands from the front and pin them back. then curl them again... thats pretty much my ides for a special occasion... byeee!
