I used to have long hair and it was thinner and kind of curled at the ends. I shaved it off years ago and everytime I let it grow it turns into a fro'. If I put hair gel into it, it does nothing. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to get it thin again.Any ideas on new hair styles for a guy w/ really thick, short hair? When it grows it turns into an afro?

Go to a nice stylist and tell them you want a New Yorker, that should do it.
straightening it with a flat iron really makes your hair thin looking and after time actually thins it.
