John Frieda is good, yeah, but also, get a hair cut because you probably have a lot of split ends. And get a deep conditioner, like Aussie 3-Minute Miracle (it's the BEST, and super cheap). You can ask your parents if you can get your hair chemically straightened at a salon, as well. I did, and it worked really well. I still have to use a straightening iron every morning, but it's SO much easier.
Also, you could try to bring out the natural curl of your hair. Wash it and condition it at night, then pat it dry with a towel, put in some defrizzer (John Frieda is great, again), comb it, and scrunch your hair so it'll curl, then go to bed with it all wet like that. In the morning, don't brush it out, it'll be all curly. Let it be curly. What types of hair styles should I try?
