Is this true about hair styles and ages?

I have heard that a shorter hair length (about shoulder length) would be better on say a 49 yr old woman. then longer waist length hair. true? I ask because I am 49 with really long hair. no grey, and I want to cut it shoulder lenght, but my husband says NO!!!! even though I tell him it would make me look younger. Is this true about hair styles and ages?
Most guys love long hair, and you're husband is very lucky you've kept yours long for so long.

But at 49, you really should consider a more mature/sophisticated look than very long hair, which is associated with young, single, available women. Shoulder length may even be a bit long; consider a bob between your ears and just above your shoulders. It will be much less work and give you a new look. Plus, eventually your hair will start to go grey and thin, and that will be easier to deal with when it's shorter. It's better to cut it now while it looks nice then wait for it to get scraggly.

It can be tough on the guy when his wife gets the chop, but there are some pluses for him. You'll take less time to get ready and get less unwanted attention from other guys. When you get the chop, consider giving your cut braid to your husband as a memento; some guys find that sweet and reassuring. Some guys are very resistant to change and uneasy with the idea of some stranger cutting and taking such a beautiful feminine feature from their wife, so engaging him may help.

Good luck.Is this true about hair styles and ages?
Ok im only 16, BUT

ive noticed alot of girls my age tend to have longer hair these days, up to about their hips even, over longer than the bust line. its common in ALOT of young celebrities these days.

I have also noticed in the shopping centres that alot of older women tend to have short hair. maybe its just a natural thing to do as you age, or that its a general assumption in society that shorter hair just suits older people and is supposed to be, it suits.

i know when a young person (my age) cuts their hair short, it definately makes them look older, maybe its the other way around for older people haha.
Maybe cut it a little longer than shoulder length, because its common that guys think longer hair is sexier on a woman. In my opinion, i think what you do with your hair, whether it looks put together or just kindof plain determines whether it makes you look older or younger, not so much the length.
ok
