I am African American would like to swim.What are some good hair styles for vacation besides braids?
Why don't you get a mullet like me..

I will be on vacation and the hairstyle I will wear is a combo of 2 strand twists and Cornrows or braids. I do plan to swim and the convenience of wash, rinse and a leave in makes life easy.

If you don't mind using a ponytail or wig, scout out accessories.

I will rock some beautiful hairpins,headbands and beaded flowers by Ododo Originals on ETSY and scarves are great. Please take care %26amp; condition hair before swimming and use a swimmers shampoo %26amp; a leave in conditioner . Forget the swim cap It doesn't work and I don't like the cu-tip look anyways. make sure you pack a chelating shampoo, conditioner, and moisturizer with you ...joico makes a chelating shampoo in their k-pak line. If you're going to be swimming frequently, you need to find something gentle to remove the chlorine from your hair and scalp. I will suggest wearing half wigs and phony ponytails. after swimming, rinse your hair and apply the shampoo, follow-up with a fortifying hair mask... an inexpensive one is pantene's relaxed and natural, but you can also order one online... hairveda makes a hair mask at hairveda.com.... after rinsing apply a moisturizer or leave-in conditioner... put your hair in a ponytail, tucking the ends in underneath and apply a phony ponytail, or if you're comfortable, where your hair out. also, if you do get braids, you can wear them for half the vacation and take them down for the other half and rock a cute curly look with it.
